What is Mahavatar Babaji Ashram? Is it a religion? No. We are a spiritual path of Self Mastery. We teach that God resides within the human heart (The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Luke 17:21) and that you can realize your Oneness with the Divine through self-love and self-discipline. We welcome everyone.
Are students required to adhere to any specific dogma or belief system? No. The disciplines we teach are designed to enhance your personal subjective experience and understanding of your own spiritual path. Who is Mahavatar Babaji? Mahavatar Babaji is an Ascended Master whose mission is to bring about the evolution of human consciousness. Why do you have spiritual names? Words have great power. Every sound we use to express ourselves has the seed and vibration of creation itself. When we are given a name at birth by our parents, that name has a vibration associated with our ego – the sum total of our filters, beliefs, thoughts and emotions. For those of us who seek liberation from ego-based awareness under the guidance of an Eastern Teacher, spiritual names are customarily bestowed upon the student to assist in the student’s spiritual growth. The names given are suitable in vibration and meaning for the student’s spiritual development. The student, by using his or her name, creates the vibration of the name in consciousness and begins to embody the magnificent qualities the name contains. Is your tradition Hindu or Buddhist? No. The teachings of Mahavatar Babaji Ashram encompass the Esoteric Truths that underlie all the worlds religions, paths and traditions, including Yoga, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and Sufism, among others. We do not have on-site overnight accommodations for
out-of-town participants. Participants traveling from out of town to attend our courses
may book directly with Holiday Inn Express Buckhead which has granted our course participants a special negotiated rate of $95 per night.
